Preview: 9 April

Racing this weekend at Meeanee Speedway features an exciting triple-header of Hawkes Bay Stockcar, Production Saloon and Ministock Champs starting at 5pm.

The HB Stockcar Champs sponsored by Bedpost will be hard fought over four qualifying heats and a final, winner take all race. Can defending champion 16b Brett Loveridge score his third title in a row? 19b Caleb Ireland will be one to watch in his new car along with cousin 91b Zayne Pullan, but picking a winner in this quality field is anyone’s guess!

The HB Production Saloon Champs sponsored by Auto Super Shoppe will provide excellent racing, with two-time winner 22b Denton Hodgkinson always tough to beat.

The HB Youth Ministock Champs sponsored by 007 Paintball hasn’t been run for a few years, and is another title almost impossible to predict. With over 30 local Ministocks and plenty of hot contenders, this should be an exciting peek into the future of speedway racing.

Superstocks will also be racing for the hotly contested Tony McIntosh Memorial, which was won last season by 87b Thomas Stanaway.

Racing starts at 5pm, admission prices are Adults $20, Children $10 and Family $50.
