VEHICLE CHECKING -: Due to the large number of championship entries received and taking into consideration available parking we have had to increase the time frame for vehicle checking…
As per your Championship entry form Each Group will be allocated a Time Slot, this time slot MUST be adhered to for this championship to run as smoothly as possible.

Stockcar Rumble – Vehicle Checking will run from 11am – 5pm

1 Yellow Pit Gate Entry 11am – 12pm

2 Green Pit Gate Entry 12pm – 1pm

3 White Pit Gate Entry 12.30pm – 1.30pm

4 Orange Pit Gate Entry 1pm – 2pm

5 Grey Pit Gate Entry 2pm – 3pm

6 Red Pit Gate Entry 2.30pm – 3.30pm

7 Blue Pit Gate Entry 3pm – 4pm

8 Purple Pit Gate Entry 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Friday Qualifying – Vehicle Checking will run from 9am – 4.00pm

**NOTICE -: If your Tow vehicle and Trailer Unit is Longer than 16 Meters, please get in touch, parking is at a premium so we would like to pre-empt any “issues” before they arrive and accommodate as best we can.

*** Once you know your group and time slot, if due to travel times i.e ferry’s etc you know you won’t make your vehicle checking time PLEASE contact us so we can make arrangements.
ANYONE arriving outside of their time slot without prior arrangement will be asked to wait at the gate before entry allowed.

We want to run a well “oiled” event and to do this we need everyone’s cooperation, if you have any questions please contact us via email – speedwayhb@xtra.co.nz

**PLEASE REMEMBER- Each Car/Competitor must have their own Pit Crew and Tools, we do not have the facilities to Park “Teams” together at this Event. Please be prepared for this, there will be No Exceptions on the day. *Each Competitor will have their Own Pit area allocated to them, if you wish to park next to someone in your group make sure you arrive with them, there will be NO saving spaces.

Kids 8 Years and Over (8 to 15 years *ID may be required) $5.00
Kids Under 7 FREE

FORMAT:
Vehicle Checking 11.00am to 5.00pm

Drivers Briefing: 5.30pm
Practice Starts: 6.30pm

Cars will park in their designated Qualifying Groups, each group will get 3 Sessions, Each Session will be 6 Laps.

Hawkes Bay Speedway Club will have BBQ Food, BJ Pies and Non- Alcoholic Beveridge’s available to purchase throughout the meeting in the PIT Area.

The Clubrooms Bar facilities will be open on conclusion of meeting.

Vehicle Checking at the Meeanee Speedway Pits: 9.00am to 4.00pm
*Each Group will have a nominated time slot for vehicle checking
Drivers Briefing: 4.30pm
All Competitors will assemble in the Club Rooms at 4.30pm for a briefing *This will be done in two groups.
Racing Starts: 6.30pm **PLEASE NOTE-There will be No Practice prior to this meeting**

Saturday 16th January 2021
Vehicle Checking at the Meeanee Speedway Pits: 10.00am to 4.00pm
Drivers Briefing: 4.30pm
All Competitors will assemble in the Club Rooms at 4.30pm for a briefing *This will be done in groups.
Repercharge Starts: 6.00pm
Grand Parade for Top 30 NZ Stockcar Competitors: 6.45pm

Racing Starts: 7.00pm

RACE FORMAT: M4-32
Qualifying –
Competitors will be split into eight (8) groups each group will race three (3) Heats of 12 laps each, Grids will be Marble Drawn using the three-heat Championship format. Points will be accumulated over the three heats and the top three (3) from each Qualifying Group will go through to the Championship Final. In the event of a tied points situation, run off’s will be held to determine the final 24 cars to go through.
The next Top 60 cars will be Split into 2 Repercharge Races to be held on the second night, 12 laps each, in case of a tie-on points for grid position a count back of highest finishing positions in qualifying will apply. First, Second and Third place cars from each race going through into the Championship Final.

Finals – Top 30 QualifiersM4-32-2
The Championship Final will consist of 30 Competitors racing over three (3) heats. Grids will be Drawn using the three-heat Championship format. Final Heats will be run over 15 Laps.
Points will be awarded as per finishing position from 30 points for 1st down to the last car to cross the finish line.
Highest Points Scorer over three heats will be deemed the Winner of the 2020/21 New Zealand Stockcar Title. In case of a tie-on points for first, second or third a 4 Lap Run off will be held.

*There are still some Self-Contained Camping Sites Available (Outside the Arena within the Papakura Domain grounds)

**Please Note-: This camping and booking service will Not be operated by Meeanee Speedway Promotions nor the Hawkes Bay Speedway Club, so at No point will they be able to “Save” you a Spot! You must contact the operators direct.

Before you book a site please take the following information into consideration.

  • NO TENTS INCLUDING POP UP TENTS AND AWNINGS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS AREA
    (or either car park areas)
  • Fully Self-Contained Motorhomes/Buses and Caravans ONLY.
  • Motorhomes and Caravans with additional vehicles must be parked as instructed in areas provided.
  • It is preferred that this area is maximised and persons staying over-night are asked to park as close to each other to enable maximum capacity.
  • There are NO rubbish facilities provided and All rubbish is to be disposed of off-site.
  • All gates (main and pit entrances) will remain locked until their opening times.
  • Water will be available on site but there are NO TOILETS OR SHOWER FACILITES.
  • NO Dogs Allowed in the Domain.
  • Papakura Domain is a Napier City Council SMOKEFREE site.
  • Once you are in the Camping Facility you will be parked for the Weekend *Some “Movable” spaces will be available on a First Come First Serve Basis for Championship Entrants only.
  • A Flat Fee of $100 per Site will be Charged (Whether you stay for one, two or three nights)
